It’s Official: Monday Has Been the Hottest Day This Summer

The National Weather Service measured a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius in Derekegyház, in southern Hungary, which is 0,5 degrees hotter than this year’s previous record, with 37.5 degrees Celsius measured in Tiszaalpár in early July.

It was hot all through the country as they measured around 35 degrees everywhere.

However, the daily heat record for 12th of August was not broken, which is still 40.8 degrees Celsius, measured in Szerep in 1921.
